    hi all my first post so grease me up good,,
    i got a 94 3.0 auto and have just got a box noise and have been told it may be the tourque converter or the flexy plate what would the cost of repair be on it ..

    Torque converter=v.expensive, Flex plate=much cheaper.

    but to get to both you need to remove the gearbox.

    I've never broken a converter, but broke a flex plate a yank pickup once, but when you get the box out, it'll be obvious if the flex plate is broken, if it looks OK, then you're in for the torque converter.
