rear seats folding?

can someone please advise me as to whether the rears seats pull up to allow the backs to sit flat once the are folded... if so how the hell do you release them?

There should be some little straps which you pull on to flap the seat up then you can lift the knob to fold the back down.

yeah.. i feel a bit of an idiot now.... i knew thats what i should be looking for, but couldnt find... got them now!!
