Hi had a problem with the batteries as i dont use the surf as much as i would like so when the battery would not turn over the motor i charged the batteries , the drivers side came up to 12.5v but the passengers only came to 10.5v as i took it off charge so the problem is one draining the other . My question is i can get two from roughtrax for about £110 , Toyota ones they say, or do i go for a single heavy duty one and use the space for a leisure battery, i know on this forum that they use two batteries of a lower amperage for cost and they are in parallel but the problem is if one has a dodgy cell it will drag the other one down and it has been recommended to replace both, i believe the drivers side battery is the main one , also disconnecting the batteries will it cause any problems with the ECU on reconnection.
