Right my rear window was sticking the other day.
So i cleaned it as best as i could an sprayed the seals with a sillicon spray.
Greased the parts i could get too. But the !!!!!! thing is gettin stuck more now.
So my question. Is it an easy job too take the back window out and the window mech ?
Or am i better to pay someone to do it.

Hi,
I reckon you should carefully prise away the plastic "card" which is fitted to the inside of the back door / lower and examine inner workings .It may be that you have gunged the mech up a bit, whereas a clean up (dry spray) might have freed it off. Anyhow, I would try this approach based on the belief that if you "pay someone to do it " they will have carte blanch to get a lot of dosh off you whether justified or not ! Dont try to remove the window in the first instance, examine it in-situ ie with window raised...mech exposed, then tell us what you see Hope its an easy fix.. Some windows being raised an lowered can make all sorts of squeekin noises at this time of year due to increased ambient temperature IMHO

i greased all the runners and the siccor mechanisim properly and now my window works fine

You have to open tailgate, close locks so the gate thinks its up, almost close it and send the window up usinf the key. Get someone to hold glass while you let tail down supporting glass then remove all covers and grease everything lol

Do you guys know and brand names for "Dry Grease"?? I used to have a tin of "Graphite Powder" and its got nicked, dunno what to look for now.....

if like me you got no mates a black and decker work mate with a soft cover on it is the right height to rest the glass on while you work on the workings.also if like mine the privacy coating on the rear window was the reson for mine playing up
