3.0 Tappets

Can someone tell me if the 3.0 diesel has shims or are the tappets adjustable?

If it has shims, how often do they need checking and do you need any special tools?

Need to do mine too....I hate shimming and would rather pay someone to do it (depending on how much and how long) for me. Had this with motorbikes and its downright frustrating when you get the shim thicknes wrong....

just been quoted 150 quid plus parts for my tappets by prestige and performance in St. Helens.
