    Hi again all.. Got a radio prob... Damn thing is japanese and wont tune to anything on the FM higher than 90, anybody got any ideas as i had a go at taking it out yesterday... but unfotunately havent got a PHD in brain surgery!!(what a job)
    Any ideas again would be very much apreciated!

    The method of removal will vary with which model of Surf you have.
    If you can update your profile to tell us the year of Surf you have, then we'll know which model or generation you have and can give you the most relevant reply.

    On the other hand you could use the SEARCH feature and find that this has been covered often before, as you can imagine its a very commonly asked question and full details are easily found here on the forum with a simple search.

      Firstly, if it has been fitted with a band-extender (common if it is a jap radio on a UK import) then the FM frequency shown on the radio will not be what you expect - it will be offset, so if oyu are listening to a station that should be on 90something it could actually show 80something.

      As for radio removal - have a look on my site in the workshop section.
      No longer a Surf owner.

        OK thanks.. I have a 3.0ltr SSRX L reg 94.. but i will update my profile today, I am new to pc s in general so bare with me a little. my last computer was a ZX81!!!
