  • creaking on full lock.

ive just bought my first surf from a dealer, i was happy with the deal i got but noticed a terrible creaking on full lock, i had it explained to me that it was 2 metal points that touch when on full lock and need regular greasing to stop this happening were they right or full of sh*t.

They were right, do a search for steering stops on here, it's those that need greasing. They originally have plastic caps on but these wear and fall off, grease fixes the problem.

      Cheers

It will last some time. Re-grease as required as there is no other fix really.

I haven't greased mine since last October. I am leaving them until I do get a squeek/creak. The grease has survived pressure washing, wading and the Great British Winter.

I wish I had greased my bash plate.
                  It's only a hobby!
