Fuel pump?!!!

I have a gen 3 diesel. Had intermittent power loss and cutting out. Had it looked at and it ran ok for a good few months then broke down. Cannot start. I’m not mechanical and need a cheaper option than the 1k + I’m likely to have to pay. I’m in Kent. Any suggestions? Don’t want to have to let the surf go as I love it! Do do my kids!

Are you sure the fuel pump is the problem? Remove the fuel filter and replace the o-rings on the drain tap.

also check the ecu for black spots at the base of the capacitors. the black spots indicate that the capacitor is leaking. the spots are acidic and will eat up the board so if there are spots, have the ecu fixed asap
