    Hi gents, just a quick one do i check the transmission fluid level with the engine running or not, cheers in advance.

    Hi John,
    First take ya Truck for a run round the block to warm it up (always check it when HOT) before switching ya Truck off run through the gears, turn it off n continue to check fluid level

      Check it with the engine warm AND running , don't switch it off before checking.

          ok lads thanks for the info, checked it all fluids ok but still got late shifting problem and no o/d have to have a search on here to find out more info.

            Pull the OD fault codes. Use a paper clip to short E1 and TE1 in your diagnostic port in the engine bay. Then turn the key and , as dash lights come on, count the times the OD light flashes. Then post on here. Late shifting and loss of gears is often the autobox solenoids. Cheers
