Gear Change

Hi guys first time on the new site taking some getting used to anyway the last couple of days the engine is revving a lot higher than usual before it changes up to second gear almost up to 3000 rpm, never had anything like this before just wondering if it might be the mesh filter in the sump of the gearbox

With mine the problem was Solenoid n.1 at the bottom of the Auto box. I found out by getting the fault code from the diagnostic port. Once replaced I got first gear back as normal. The O/D light was also randomly flashing when symptoms started.

sounds like the ecu might be an issue.

However, what is the condition of the oil? I would regardless change the oil and clean the filter in the gearbox if it has never been done, you will need to change the atf multiple times to effect a proper change

changed the oil about 18 months ago only done about 4500 miles since, was going to change the oil anyway will also clean filter at same time hope this sorts it, noticed change up to third takes a bit longer also.
