Tapping on tick over when cold - injector??

im after a little advice about a noise on a Gen 2 3.0.
Symptoms;

ticking sound from cyclinder 1 area.
some smoke (blue/white) that stinks - unburnt fuel
Its not piston slap, as that was checked for when the head was off.
Not valve clearance related - they are all correct.
Compression is excellent
new

I had a similar problem with one of my gen 2s it was the exhaust manifold gasket it drove me mad!

Hi thanks for that. I read your post a while ago, when I came across the problem. It’s all been off when I did the turbo.

With the stethoscope it’s defibaky around cylinder 1 injector.

I have ordered a red a new set of injectors so will soon see.
