Low-fuel warning light

Is there a low fuel warning light? And if so, where is it!

Never seen such a light since i have had my Surf, so either there aint one, or it is not working, or of course I never get the fuel low enough, which I doubt hehe!

hi mate , on my gauge the light does not come on until the needle drops of the edge of the hatched area ,almost looks like its about to run out,the light is yellow and to the left of the gauge.

Low Fuel Warning Light

According to the handbook the low fuel warning light is set to come on with 9ltrs left in the tank. I have checked mine (filling full - empty) and it is spot on.

doesnt come on when you first switch ignition on.....

therefor .... bulb bust

waiting for all the others to bust, then will take facia off and replace em all at once

The low fuel warning light doesn't come on when you switch on ignition, it only comes on when fuel low, therfore bulb not necessarily bust
The truck will huff and puff for a mile or 2 before it conks out. Carry a can just in case the bulb is !!!!ed.

Thanks for the info - gonna try and run out kinda on purpose now to see if it works!

From memory it's a 60 or 65 litre tank in the Surf's... and I don't think I've ever put more than about 52L's in. The light doesn't come on until it looks like you're about to conk out... but really you have plenty more diesel to go.

Yep - mines 65 and I've done a 20 mile trip with the low fuel warning light on (cos it was night in the middle of nowhere and all the garages were shut)

Well I ran the fuel down today and got a nice orange light! I was so pleased it worked and that the fuel had not run out I had to ring the gf and tell her.

Isn't it, except mine says "what you telling me for" hehe, i too was relieved first time I saw the light!
