  • auto transmission fluid pan gasket.

according to my manual there is a gasket on the AT sump pan, to be replaced if removing pan, according to my toyota dealer and his micro fiche, there is no gasket........... any one tell me is there one, he's telling me to use that instant gasket stuff, this is for a 94 kzn130.

    thanks

You may find its been deleted to save cost, some of my manuals mention a gasket, others mention just sealant. The Ozzy Max Ellery manual actually mentions a gasket in one job, and in another job that involves removing the pan, only mentions sealant!

I'd use your old gasket with sealant if it comes off in one peice, otherwise just use a good RTV sealant.

k, mines a bit newer but same gearbox almost. Nothing about gaskets in my books and it was rtv sealant when i took it off. So that's what i stuck it back on with (+ the bolts!). First time i've ever used that stuff and i got no leaks, yay!

Same as emgine sump, use RTV sealant, however make sure it really is semi hard before replacing as it is easy to knock it on something when refitting and damaging the bead.

          Cheers
