OIl Temperature Gauge Pick up

My Oil Temp Gauge has never worked, can anyone tell me where to look on the block for the Temperature pick up sensor?

It's an oil pressure gauge not a temp gauge. Can't think where it is but I'm sure someone will know.

As you look at filter it is towards back of block and a little lower than filter.The wiring for this is in the loom that goes to the alternator.
