Veggie What To Do

I have heard a lot on this site about using veg oil. Please can somone Fill me in on pros cons and what needs to be done to my beloved surf to take it. I know absolutely nothing about it exept cooking with it.

You really need to search the site for this topic, not avoiding answering you buts its been covered in depth many times before and you will get more results from the search than people will reply here to a subject covered many times before.

well i just shot 10ltrs of veg oil in and then £20 of diesel on top and have had no probs. also stick 1/2 a bottle of redex in, and my surf is fitted with the winter pack, which i believe includes a fuel pre-heater for colder climates, so whether that makes a difference or not, i don,t know, but i,m sure someone will enlighten us

have you got the pre heat relay in the fuse box then? Any chance of a photo of the relay itself...?

The motor does not have a preheat relay, however there is a space in the fuse box marked on the lid as fuel preheat.

i haven,t looked into at all, just seen the markings on the fuse box, but i,ll have a look into it over the w/end, photo,s will have to wait till Sunday as the lads away with the camera.

aye, have the same- ie marked on fuse box but nowt fitted. Anyone know where to source em?

hence the question. Empty space in the fuse box for the relay, still not sure if the wiring is there... is it just a quesiton of adding the relay...?

checked it out, and no relay but the sockets there just to drop one into.

Mine has the fuel preheater relay in and it will be a good excuse to try out the new digicam (with zoom). Failing that I will at least get the part no off when I get home in the morning.
