    Hi All
Can you tell me what the normal RPM should be...mine sits at 800rpm on tickover is this right or a little high?

Also no being used to a diesle I went to top up the oil as the stick was on low ..bough a litre bottle put it in and it seems to have hardley moved up on the gauge (I don't have a leak) how much does it take to get it to the top of the markings on the dip stick

Sorry for the stupid questions but we all have to start somewhere

    Hi
800 RPM sounds fine to me, you may find your tickover is adjustable by a switch or a turn knob under the rhs dash, mine runs at anything from 700-1300 depending on the adjustment at the time. Dont know how much oil is needed for a topup but the engine does hold a lot more than a normal car engine.
If it aint broke...........give it some more abuse!!!!!!!!
I gave it some abuse.................and it broke!!!!!!!

the capacity is on the sticky servicing section... don't matter if it's not up to max, i always leave it below incase i over top up!... so long as it's between the 2 lines then that's cool.... it's easier to put more in than take some out!
nee nar nee nar, i'm a fire engine!
