  • air con service.

Had my 93 2.4 ssrx for a couple of months now and I love it. The air con never worked when I bought it. Took it down to car air con specialist, who re-gassed it and put these monitor things all round the engine bay and inside the cars vents and he said it was working spot on. Very next day tried air con and it was'nt working. The guy said take it back if it's not right but I'm a bit dubious now to take it back to him as he wants £75 a time. Does anybody know what else it could be apart from being re-gassed. Thanks 4 the help.

    Jamie.

The guy said bring it back, so take it back and see what he says dont knock his Trade yet, as he may have left something lose.

        Hi
You probably have a leak in the system, when i have had cars regassed in the past they have put a dye in the system that will show up any leaks. If he did this he should be able to find and sort the leak easily. As far as i know it is fairly normal practice to do this so if he hasnt done it i would be asking why not????? Take it back and hopefully he will sort it for you. BTW a good regass machine will tell you if there is a leak present in the system so if he has good equipment he should already know about your problem!!!!
        Hope that helps.
If it aint broke...........give it some more abuse!!!!!!!!
I gave it some abuse.................and it broke!!!!!!!

Thanks smurf, booked it in for another gas r-fill, mentioned it to him about the dye and if his machine can find faults when re gassing, he's never heard of either. I'll give it another shot with him though.

          Cheers Jamie

Tell him to put a vacuum test on it , if it hold a vacuum , then there r no leaks on your system
