Mine is a 92 2.4 LTE. On blocks for seven years. Did a major refurb job this summer and I am delighted with my new Surf!
I have a whine noise coming on when the turbo kicks in and gets more intense the harder I accelerate. Its driving me mad! because otherwise the truck is now like new.
Work Done:
New water pump, and timing belt. New modified head, Turbo rebuilt. all seals and gaskets checked, all jubilee clips replaced. EGR valve blocked off.
Any suggestions as to where I should look next
