  • shock change

Just to let you know I changed shock ok, very easy to do but had noticed that the electrical top to the shock has to be fitted correctly.
before changing shock make sure you have the switch on the dash to soft, and when fitting the shock, make sure the small valve shaft that is at the top of the shock is set so you can can pull and push the shock in and out quite easily, if it is tight, turn it half a turn and it will become easy, because all the electrical top of the shock does, is turn the shaft half a turn one way to make it hard and back half a turn to make it soft, if you get it wrong, one shock will be set hard and the other will be soft, which will make the car feel terrible.

      shocks

shocks are really easy to cahnge, just a top nut and a booton bolt, and an electrical connection on the front shocks, I bought a set of original shocks off a fellow surf owner on here, second hand but all ok, I only changed one that was leaking, dont seem to notice any difference with the suspension, but the steering feels a lot better now that I have changed the track rod end that had play in the joint.
