oil filter change- yes I am stupid

I know this is really daft, but I am struggling to find the oil filter. Tried a search and know how to change thanks to an easy to follow tech note, but my stupidity does not allow me to find the damn thing? Tried crawling underneath but no joy. Am I supposed to jack the front up or what?

Oil filter

The oil filter is way down the left hand side of the engin block
it is easier to get to it via the off side wheel arch you may
have a little metal bending to do but you will not get it out
from the top.
