  • L/slip Diff Or Not

Help! Is there any way of finding out if my 1992 hilux 2.8 double cab (japanese import) has a limited slip diff.I've had so many conflicting answers, but i'm still no better off.My local toyota garage says yes, another said no,I've changed the oil in the rear axle recently and put 90w oil in it ,only to be told this will damage it if an lsd is fitted.I can't see any sticker or plate on diff.Tried to decode the chassis number to find outbut still no joy.
    THANKS IN ANTICIPATION !!!!

Jack the back end up and turn one wheel. If the opposite wheel turns the same way you've goat a lsd. If it turns the opposite way it's an open diff.
