I am having some starting problems when cold. I know my batteries are junk and will be replacing them, but I tested my glow plugs and found one dead. I tested my other glow plugs and had a couple spares from before and they all tested 1.2 ohms. Is this a little high? I haven't been able to find a definite number to go by but for some reason I remember reading they should be less than .6 ohms. Glow plugs are expensive to get in Canada, $160 for 4 crappy Bosch ones that don't seem to last, $200 for 4 OEM Toyota ones from Japan so I want to double check before I just pop new glow plugs in. I will be buying new batteries tomorrow.
EDIT:
Found a cross reference for glow plugs, here: http://www.hiluxsurf.co.uk/showthrea...glow+plug+part
Turns out I have had the wrong glow plugs for the past 2 years. No wonder they suck. Guess it was foolish of me to ever expect a parts dealer to actually get me the right parts. I took them out, checked the glow plugs again, all dead now...
