Hi
Recently changed all four auxillary belts after an alternator one snapped and took 2 others with it. All bets changed and tensioned ok, I tested truck for 1/2 hour tickover and all was well. But after setting off to work and getting a mile away Loss of power loads of black smoke and sounds like a bag of spanners.
I don't think the two issues are related but can't be sure. I'm guessing an injector has gone down hopefully not the pump. Is there any way of checking or any other ideas?

this explains while was charging correctly as belts slipping. The bottom pulleys look like they've been floating back and forth and worn into cambelt cover. This looks like its caused a piece of melted plastic to jump up into one of the pulleys and cause belt to slip and jump a tooth or two.
