  • whistling noise

Got a 1990 2.4 LN130 (first surf). Very happy with it apart from an intermitent whistling noise (not squealing) between 45 - 55 mph. I don't think it is anything stuck in the air vents. Sorry, I am not very mechanical. Air con doesn't work but engine changes tone when button is pressed - is this good/bad.

air-con probebly needs regassing, it sounds like it mechanically working, just not getting cold.

Check your intake hoses for splits, or it could just be the turbo, or door seals, window rubbers, etc....
