im getting a hilux surf again and i was wondering if automatics are good on any of the surfs, and are they good for towing, At the mo there only seems to be autos out there, and hopefully i will be getting a 3ltr after the the proplems with the 2.4 i had thanks all. feed back very welcome.

Towing wise, think about a cooler if you do it a lot....lots of heavy load/slip in the torque converter really gets oil hot, can ruin brake bands and clutches if you over do it. That's not specific to the Surf, autos in general.
