throttle assembly cable

Hello, hope this is'nt the end of my surf. Cannot get this cable, connects to throttle assembly then runs down to the tranny. Has something to do with regulating the pressure in the transmission to enable smooth gear changes. Local mr T dealer ordered then wen i went in to pick it up he says its been discontinued. part number T35520-35160 please help dont wana scrap me truck over this cable. ln-130 1992.

sounds like the kick-down cable is what your after, Check the availability for the kick-down cable as it may easier now knowing what it is.

defo kickdown if you cant get new
loads of breakers on fleabay get a second hand one

If the outer is ok try a new inner. I've repaired all sorts of cables before. You may need to make new ends (I have used brass and steel) and silver braze them on.

These seem to be specific to the Surf 2.4 so if discontinued, will be very difficult to get.
