    CAN ANYONE HELP ME?
    IVE JUST RENEWED THE DRIVE BELTS ON MY SURF , ALSO THE COOLANT AND OIL AND FILTER .
    I NOW HAVE A PROBLEM THE HEATER BLOWS COLD UNTILL I REV THE ENGINE IT THEN BLOWS HOT AND THE ENGINE STARTS TO OVERHEAT .
    I THINK ITS AIR TRAPPED SOMEWHERE IN THE SYSTEM AND HAVE TRIED SQUEEZING THE PIPES BUT NO JOY .

    Try doing a search for "coolant". This has been dealt with many times.

      Have a look at "Burping The Cooling System". I think it is in the maintainence section.

      I didn't use that method but with the engine running and the rad cap of, kept squeezing the rubber hoses. making sure that the front and rear heaters were both on full. That should sort it out.
      It's only a hobby!

        what has always worked for me is to remove one of the heater hoses and force water through them with a hosepipe until it runs clear of air then pop it back on quickly.To put the anti-freeze back in i just open the the rad drain tap and as it empties fill up with coolant........ might not be high tech but it works
