Rev Counter plays after 2k @ 70km/h

I have had a 1991 2.4 SSR Ltd Diesel for 2 months and get somewhat worried because the rev counter plays after 2,000r/m and way goes my diesel.

Thought I run this past our valuable forum ... Help!

Hi,

my experience is that at 70km/hr the rev. counter reading is after 2,000r/m. At this speed, I notice that a quater tank covers about 90km. which I reckon is rather heavy on fuel.

90Km for quater of a tank isnt that bad. I get 400Km from a full tank.

Is your overdrive turned off?

the overdrive is usually on. Does your rev counter read 2,000 plus @ 70Km/hr?
