Handbrake Not Working

So i was out wheeling with some buddys and we stopped and i went to pull the handbrake to get out quickly and i must of pulled it too hard and i felt and heard a snapping noise and now the handbrake cable fell off the handle and is sagging underneath.

How would i go about getting that cable hooked back up? Its inside a black rubber line the whole way down the mechanism so would i have to pull the whole front half of the handbrake system to get it reeled back up to the handle?

Any help and suggestions would be great..

You need to remove the pull handle assembly and the pulley housing thats attached to the firewall to get at the end of the cable.
