Hi there, well yesterday i noticed my hilux 2.4 being slightly sluggish on hills...today same thing but also noticed that the turbo does not seem to be kicking in . having not owned a turbo car before, is it ok to use till i suss out whats wrong? also is there any easy way to check the turbo? Whats a normal average price to pay if it needs replacing and is it an easy job?
    thx in advance

    Is the turbo light on?

You should have a green light in the rev counter that comes on when boost it up, it'll be out on idle and light throttle pressure, but on with any heavier throttle it'll come on.

After reading another post about sluggish turbos had a gander and found a small pipe off, seems to of sorted it although the pipe seems very loose and has no jubilee or clip to hold it in place. Thinking maybe put summat on it to secure it.
