Speedometer Not Working

Hi all,

I drive a 1992, 2.4, manual surf and my speedometer has been intermittent for a while now. It would sit still and then after driving for around 15 minutes it would kick in and remain working for the duration of my journey.

Went out yesterday for a long drive and this time it didn’t kick in at all.

Can anyone help me please?

its broken

mine did the same - check the pulse from the speed sensor, if thats ok its the clocks.

i just put an e-bay set of clocks in - cured

Can you tell me how to check the pulse from the speed sensor please? And what sort of money are new clocks if it comes to that?
