The first project being my on board air:

Air filter and manifold next to compressor:

Top of the manifold is the pressure switch, then the safety release valve, the line that runs inside the cabin, and the line that runs along the frame to the rear tank:

Oiler:


Compressor Switch:

2.5Gal Tank:

Lines ran inside so they don't freeze up with ice/snow or cake with mud :





Second is my gauge pod which isn't really complete, but I'm really excited and happy with how it turned out! It still needs some minor sanding and another coat of primer before paint but here's how it looks so far:









Next will be sorting out the location of the boost and egt gauges.

What sort of pressure do you get?
Is it good enough just for airing up or could you run an air wrench with it?

I believe the pressure switch keeps it around 120-140. From completely empty the system fills full in about 1.5min and has enough pressure to pop a tire back on the bead and fill from flat as well as run air tools!! I'm very happy so far, great use of a useless AC system

How do you lubricate the compressor?

The compressor sucks in air through a filter and then the oiler which lubricates the compressor:



On the way out the air filter pulls the oil out and sends the good air onto the manifold:


Or you can go the easy route and get one of them fancy self lubricating compressors instead, makes the system even easier!
