Rust & Engine Corrosion

I have read many threads on stripping and painting an engine but if I wanted to just want to clean the inside of an engine, and reduce or slow down the rust what would be the best treatment for it without causing gasket failure.
After just doing a water pump and timing belt today I noticed that as I flushed the water out it was quiet brown. I use a quality antifreeze/anti corrosive too?
what products are best for internal cleaning, many thanks

I noticed that as I flushed the water out it was quiet brown.

Don't worry, quiet brown is fine; it's noisy brown that causes problems.

well that stuff from eBay is very good, anti-corrosive water treatment with conditioner for rad and pump! As well as this is prevents future leaks, shame it don't taste good or it would be perfect! or does it???
