Little black box under seat

Hi there,

was looking for lost treasure under the driver seat of my '93 SSR-X 2.4 when I came across a little black box with a block of wires running into it. Haven't traced the wires yet but thought someone might know what it is?

Its the alarm on trucks that have Toyota alarm/remote systems.

Does this mean it has an alarm fitted and I just don't have the fob for it, or is it just the receiver for ther central locking mechanism?

Have a look on the top of the box, it'll say on there.

black box

i had all sorts in my truck when i first got it. dvd player, cd changer, tv aerials, mini satalite brackets and a small black gadget on the dash that i am still puzzled on its about 2" square looks like some sort of alarm reciever but of course at the end of the cables there were no plugs just chopped wires. my mate found a gatso detector in his that works proper
