Hi, I was wax oiling the bottom of my surf when above the fuel tank to the front is a small inline filter, Is that a serviceable item or do I leave alone, do not want to cause air locks if I do not have to, thanks

Its a breather for the tank. Just make sure the end of the pipe isn't clogged.

If you're having fuel pickup issues its often a culprit.

I have just had the bottom shot blasted and recoated. So I will make sure that it has not got blocked! any more of these "breathers" that I should check after 10 liters of hot oily gunk sealed evreything!
