Coolant flush walk thru

I am new to this so bare with me!

I have found this walk thru: http://http://daemon4x4.org/tech/hiluxsurf/workshop/coolant.htm does this sound right ? - it doesnt mention anything about the thermostat - what do i do with it? leave it on/take it off (where is it) !

It is for an 89 Hilux Surf Turbo Diesel 2.4l Manual

I wouldn't listen to anything that place has to say! Bunch of retrobate drop outs.































The stat is in the housing the 'rad' cap is on top. taking it out lets you flush quicker, but don't have to mess with it.

Wouldn't hurt to change for a new one though.
