  • Arches and bumpers on MK III

My 1990 Surf has no Extended arches and just looking to buy some off member Tony. I have just noticed that the front bumper has a section that goes into the wide arches, Do I need bumper upgrades too? many thanks

    You have a gen 2!
Yes the front bumpers are different between yours, (gen 2 pre-face lift) which have three piece bumpers with a steel valance.
Face lift gen 2s have a one piece front bumper with a plastic valance and extra plastic caps on the bumper corners to match up with the wheel arch extensions.

I thought after reading threads that MK II was to 1986? Will the side caps fit on mine? cheers

Thats a list of Hilux Pick-ups, not Surfs/4Runners.

LOL. and can't spell 4Runner either...

it dosn't look that bad with the narrow body bumper, facelift one or not, lots of people leave it, but you can swap any bumper to it if you want a later one, or if you just want the little extensions they'll probably fit a preface lift bumper ok.
