I recently fitted 4 cooper discoverers. 31 10 15 AT on my surf,
£70 each , quiet, good on road, look chunky. hope this helps.

Are these Marshall 'Powerguard'?

Have seen a few on various trucks, would say they are about 4 place behind BFG and General Grabber.

All been M/T's but nice enough on the tarmac, average in the goo.

Should be able to get most top brands for that nearly that price though.

they were a/t with a 50/50 split i have yokahamas at the mo which i like but at £99 each its too much for my pocket also been looking around and bfg are about £100 and that was for 30 ,9.50 15s so i think i will go with the marshalls

Have you tried Pellon Tyres they were very cheap when I wanted some about 6months ago .

I used marshalls once, they seemed ok for a time but after a short time they lose grip and its scary in the wet!! but they do seem to last forever, I'll never use them again

I've got 4 GG's on mine - they came with the surf - are they any good or not? I've also got a nice Yokohama on the back to detract from them!

If there not great, what would be the best to replace them with when the time comes (I'll start saving now)

   if you mean general grabbers ive had them before and there terrible in the wet

I have General Grabber All Weather , and they are ok in the wet , just remember it's a 2ton truck and drive accordingly , you also have ABS so it should be OK .

Ours are 265/70/16. This I understand (fat/tall/wide) but whats this 31,10,15s about ?

265=width in mm, 70=aspect ration i.e the height of the tyre from rim to edge is 75% of it's width , 16=is wheel size in inches (dunno why they mix metric and imperial)...

31=overall diameter of tyre in inches, 10=width in inches, 15= wheel size in inches.
