Chrome guards are rare as hens teeth and expensive to boot as I think the only ones you can get for a 2nd gen are from the states at something like $200 (actually stainless).Originally posted by matt steds
Why don't you find a friendly metal fabrication shop and make some up, I'm sure they could come up with a design.
Alternatively why don't you do what they used to do on the Ford Bronco and clad the rear tailgate in brushed aluminium - gives a bit of extra protection and looks funky. Plus the reflection keeps the idiots from driving too close.
