diesel pump 2.4

hi all

my diesel pump top is leaking on my 2.4 auto, it has 4 bolts that hold the top down and i have been told it is a alloy with rubber as a gasket when i ordered one from milners its just rubber. 2 questions, have i got the right gasket and if i undo the bolts to change the gasket will anything spring out lol

yup if its a Non-EFI truck, no if its an EFI truck, its easy.

89-90/91 trucks are mechanical fuel pumps, 91-93 are Electronic, hense EFI.

The metal intake pipe across the engine will either have 'D Turbo 2L-T', or 'EFI Turbo Diesel' on it depending on what you have.

iam shore mine says efi , i have found the deisel pump and it leaks from it when running, so if its and efi is it a hard job to do

Nope, it's still easy.

It's been done and discussed a hundreds times on here, have a quick search and you'll find instructions.

so when i take top off is anything doing to pop out, just so iam ready for it. iam more off a bike person but love me surf so need to learn these now

If you follow the instructions and only remove the top cover (and it is an EFI) nothing will pop out.
