oil filter

will the oil filter from a 4 runner fit to my surf. just thinking instead of ordering filters from places like milners, if i could go to a local motor factors and get them to cross refrence the filter from a runner to surf. suppose though that they will not have details of imported cars....anybody know owt about this.......

Hi Slim,

Any decent factors should be able to provide the correct filter from stock. So long as you provide relevant info - engine type (e.g 2LTE) you should have no problem. The factors used by the pro's are a good bet. I use SPC (think thats right) and have had no problems.

My local spares shop found a reference for it under 4runner and it was the right one, also told him year and engine type to double check but no problems!!

Most parts from the pick- up will fit the surf. Just give age, engine size, thats it.
