Squealing

Guys

I have noticed that i have a squealing noise when i take my foot off the gas. As soon as i start to accelerate the noise stops. When i bouht it the guy i bought it off advised that he new that the " tension something " needed to be changed and that he would sort that. It has been in for that to be done, but the noise is the same.
Any ideas?.
What is the tension.......... thing he was on about?

Sounds like one of your 4 belts is loose. With the engine off see how much play is in each belt. If one seems looser than the others then it might need tensioning, not a big deal. Check how the belt looks, an old one looks old and sinking into the pulley compared to a fresh one sitting proud of the pulley groove.
