On what toyota can I find LSD's and being an artfull bodger could I fit them to my trusty Mk2 unguided missile.

MK2 are you on about surf or hilux ????? ok hilux there are codes which we dont obviously know, some diffs are labled LSD

there's no rhyme or reason to it all... just that some do and some don't.... bit like women really!

On Surfs the LSDs were optional I think but you can find an LSD in the rear axle of any UK spec 4Runner. Whether it will still be any good (as they wear out quick) or whether it'll fit in your Hilux, I don't know.

Thank you to Marky, Dabigman and Rob, Yes it is the mk2 hilux pick up that I have, I was thinking about chaning the engine and gearbox for range rover, but this sounds ideal as a challenge

Most 91/92-on Surfs that are 'limited' will have a LSD. Most will need rebuilding, if you using it as an offroad toy, buy the time the breakers yard has fleeced you, then a rebuild kit from Toyota, you might as well buy a Lock-Rite auto locker.

A locker is hands down better than a LSD of wheelin', LSD is great for towing and occasional offroad use, if its a offroad only motor and not used on the road much, just weld your spider gears to together and go play.
