CT20 Turbo Rebuild / Recon / Service

Roughtrax do a CT20 Turbo gasket set HERE but do I need anything else?
There is a set on eBay HERE and as much as I wouldn't expect an eBay set to be top quality I did notice it has some different bits in it.
I can't see any other parts on Roughtrax or Milners so I thought I'd ask!
(I did also search but couldn't see anything ).

The Roughtrax set is only gaskets to fit the turbo. Its not a rebuilt kit.

Do you know if a rebuild kit is available or if there are a few kits I can get to complete everything I need?

There is a refurb kit but i can't think at the moment where i have seen it.You may need to get the shaft balanced again if you totally strip the turbo down tho

The CT20 us used on the GT4 too. I bet they have an easier life on a Surf given the low boost, so I think I know where I'd rather go for a used replacement if I ever toast mine!

Andy make sure if you do its the correct ct20 and it has no other letters on it.I was doing some reading up as a customer wanted one for a celica and there are 3 different types of the ct20 turbo's apparently

I'm sure the assembly is different - things such as the wastegate actuator etc, but the turbo itself could well be identical.

Thankfully (touching wood) not in need of one anyhow

i think the turbo's were set for whatever vehicle they were to be fitted to.i will have to do a search and see if i can find the info again on them but i know the guy who wanted one from me wasn't happy to take a chance on getting the wrong one tho

the blades on the turbines will be different for sure as the surf is a low blow and the celica will be a high blow.waste gates will be different too,but the main body and compressor housing should be the same.

I think that is something like i read Mark.The difference isn't actually alot but they still shouldn't be interchanged
