    looks like i may be parting with my 2.4 ssrx , i really cant afford the 18-20mpg anymore ive had great time thru ownership, it took me great hodilays etc , it has a fortnite mot left , should i stick it thru again ,it needs exhaust fixed at middle cylinder and a gasket at the manifold ,egr side, what are they fetching nowdays any advice would be a great help

    Yes put a full years mot on it. Anything from £700 - £1600 seems the going rate.

      It's true they are not a cheap runner. Have you concidered running a second car for a daily and keeping the Surf? like a 1.2 corsa daily driver and keeping the Surf for pleasure ?

      Either way worth getting another MOT I'd say.

              coming to an end of an era

              i enjoy my surf but making it my main means of transport isnt viable, i took my rover 45 off the road for a year and half to njoy it and now it may be vice versa , i would like to mot it and let it sit but whatever goverment gets in we har fooked , it is still early days but it is really a hard decision to make i like surfing but the cost is rising , i worked out for every £5 in put in i was loosing £5 so it was time to unwrap the rover for sensible driving , it aint 4wd tho and you cant picnics in places you shouldnt be ie the top o the hills
