hi guys my surf was a pig to start thesmorning got a new set of glow plugs to fit tom morning my mot due in january and the old girl seams to be smoking a lot sow any advice on lowring the smoke would be a help my surf is a 2.4 1992 ssrg many thanks john

mine is the same at the moment for starting and there seems to be a few of us with the same problem.
As for the smoke change the filters etc and fill the new fuel filter with atf or redex and then drive the truck hard for a couple of mile to give the fuel system a good clean

Hi are you waiting for the click after the glow plug light goes out before you try to start it, if not try it.
