Head and flywheel gone

Right its crunch time the dual mass flywheel has gone and the head has gone on my surf if i do all the repairs myself which i can do its going to cost me around a grand to put everything right shall i cut my losses and get a gen 3 or repair my old surf so these questions arise

would a 2.4 UK Hilux pick up head be used(would this fit the 2.4 surf)
would a 2.4 UK Hilux pick up solid flywheel fit on the Surf

if i could get these from a breakers somewhere it would cost a dam site less

I have just removed a fully working 2.4 engine gearbox etc from mine see here

Just got a quote for the solid flywheel £50 now if i could get a head for that much id be cooking on gas

the whole engine can go for £250 if you can either collect or arrange a courier

i have the 2.8l non turbo head you are after sitting in my garage getting in my way after the misses rolled my truck, its in perfect condition and is yours for £80 if you want it, let me know
