2.4 Cylinder Head off e bay?

Asking on behalf of a friend.

Needing a 2.4 head,as some 2.4's do. Including the one i had 3 years ago. I went to Stevo for mine as no where else done the 'Uprated/stronger' vesion.

Whilst browsing e bay this cropped up

Are these any good as long as fitted well and a maintained cooling system??

yeah saw that last night im after a head at the moment i am watching this one in my e bay not too sure about buying it though could get my fingers burnt.

One quick question though does anyone know if a UK 2.4 hilux head fit the Jap 2.4 surf.

Quite a few of these are heads that have failed and been stitch welded. Some of these are made in china. Done are ok... The problem is sorting the good from the bad. Either roughtrax or stevo for heads is the sensible" do once" option.

To be honest I did have my doubts, but being totally new to the world of Surfs I felt I had to ask the question.
So, where do I go for a replacement & how much is it likely to cost me?

One of the advertising banners at the top of the page is for the Stockport engine co. Also www.roughtrax.co.uk
a lot of people slate milners, but my 2.4 head came from them and it was a genuine Toyota part.
It NEVER let me down either.
It might be worth putting an ad in the parts wanted section as well.

i have a 2.4 engine for sale in the "for sale section" cheaper option than the ebay head and it had the head done about 2 years ago and has been working fine since i would not offer it here if i thought it was dodgy!!

i have the 2.8l non turbo head you are after to repair your 2.4 with head problems sitting in my garage getting in my way after the misses rolled my truck, its in perfect condition and is yours for £80 if you want it, let me know
