reconditioned starter motor!

Alright there,

Can anyone suggest a cheep supplier? looking for a reconditioned starter motor for a 1990 2l manual Surf? Will also consider secondhand if anyones breaking there engine!

Have you stripped the starter motor down? It might just be gummed up with oil. If you need brushes, try a local autoelectrician. Even if they don't have the correct ones, get something bigger and file them down. I am sure either Milners of RoughTrax list a repair kit for them, but as I recall they were a bit pricey.
