      First things first :
Is it Auto or Manual ?
From left to right on the Dash
Is it the seatbelt light ?
      the Ignition /Battery Light ?
      the Handbrake light ?
the AT/Oil Temp Light ? Auto

Has this light just appeared while driving ?
If ya Battery light is on it Sounds like it could be ya Alternator.. but don't panic yet...
Check ya battery charge Gauge (Right hand side of the Dash)....
It could be ya pulley belts need Adjusting....
If ya (Help !! ol timers syndrome) ??????? Meter ya could check the voltage charge rate ....
If nothing changes ....Then you may find ya need another alternator
Hope this helps n good Luck ...

ps.. Just read ya other post ya going to "St Ives" if ya there already, Call out for Stormforce he may be able to help

      There's always a Payback .... Don't know where n don't know when tho !!!!

Do you mean the red engine check light next to the green turbo light?

If yes then there's a problem and a code will be logged in the ECU.

Search for diagnostics and it'll be explained in one of the posts how to extract the codes and what they indicate.

The green turbo light should come on at around 1800 rpm.
carry out the diagnostics procedure before you go on holiday.
